Is there any real reason to purchase the Business or Ultimate versions of Vista over the Home Premium? I really don't want to spend the extra $..

I have Ultimate and I would say go HP. Ultimate does not offer you much more at all. Only Dreamscene and perhaps the Extra ram support. However I doubt you will be using 128GB of ram.
I would say go Home premium

Go with Business if you do not want Media Center and need to connect to a domain. Go Ultimate if you want Media Center and need to connect to a domain. For most users, Home Premium is all you need.

64bit Home Premium FTW.
I have it on both of my systems and you don't need anything else. Really. It becomes overkill, esp. for your wallet. ![]()

I'm afraid if I go 64 bit I'm going to have software issues.

I have Premium and have never regretted it.
What is the point in ultimate? Except for dreamscene which becomes boring after 5 minutes. The extra features do not justify the price tag for your ordinary user. Definitely get Premium over Business, Media Center is a really useful tool. I use it more than i thought i would.
