Well, had some good fun with my computer.
Got my new BIOS chip, and booted it up, ran just fine, ran it overnight folding with a slight overclock. shut it off manually after it froze cycling though windows in Windows XP (I had 512 megs of RAM at the time, so it was slow as death). Booted it up and after Windows loaded, it just loaded a black screen. I used a Windows CD and fixed the boot sector, booted fine, restarted a little later, and same problem, unfortunately fix boot didn't work. I installed Windows into a pair of drives and put them into RAID 0, then booted fine (with the bad disk excluded from the array, and disconnected). Installed fine, installed SP 2, rebooted fine, hooked up the bad drive to get stuff off it, installed Nvidia drivers off it, and rebooted. Now it does the same thing. Any idea what the problem/solution is? Is it a virus or hardware issue? Any input is greatly appreciated, kind of need this computer up pronto.

try different video drivers. If it does that after you install the vid drivers, then that is prolly ur problem.
try using a different video card if you can for the moment...

*update*
Reformatted, ran F@H for a few days, restarted twice. Never installed the Video drivers. My anti-virus recieved a critical update and asked me if the computer could restart, so I restarted it. Now the problem happens again! I m thinking that this is my motherboard, but I am not sure.

I believe that in order to remove an anti-virus program, you shouldn't need to use tools. I use Bullguard. Easy to use, never had any problems/ viruses with it. Since I did not install anti-virus the previous times it happened, and this time it happened, I am starting to wonder if the motherboard is bad.

A few questions..
What are you CPU,Chassy, and NB temperatures like during load? Also - can you identify any specific time where this happens?

CPU was measured using core temp.
CPU: Idle: ~40 C Load: ~47-50 C Chipset temps measured in BIOS Chipset: ~30-35 C idle ?? load, but northbridge was hot enough that I couldn't leave my finger on it. No idea on case temps, but I have the side of the case half off so it is pretty cool. My RAM is 2.1 volts, and cool enough that they are not even warm. The problem just happens for seemingly no reason only when I shutdown/restart. The array is isolated from the original hard drive this happened to. Restarted once fine, but a few days later the problem happened again.

Do you not have a heatsink on the NB? You need to if not, especially if you are overclocking at all. I am able to touch mine as close to the chip as I can and keep my finger on it.

Tested my voltage in the BIOS (can try to access a multi-meter tomorrow)
3.3v actual: 3.02 5v actual: 4.89 12v actual: 11.77-11.84 My system temp is 40 degree's. Ambient is : too freakin hot. CPU is at 40 degree's I am wondering if this is a RAM or motherboard issue, my RAM that I recieved from RMA is slightly overvolted (2.15 vs 2.0-2.1 stock) and still will not run at the suggested 4-4-3-5 (I ran them at 1T and 2T, same instability), and continue to fail memtest.
