This is for those of you (like myself) who don't like the Windows Quick Launch toolbar on the taskbar and want to move it (i.e. to the side or top of the screen). In Windows XP all you had to do to move the Quick Launch toolbar was right click the Taskbar, unlock it, and that would allow you to drag the Quick Launch toolbar anywhere you wanted. In Vista however, this feature was removed....sort of. Here is a workaround:

1. Right click on the Desktop and create a new folder. Don't worry about naming it.

2. Click and drag the new folder to whatever side of the screen you want the Quick Launch toolbar. This will create a blank toolbar.

3. Right click the new toolbar, go to "toolbars", and select "Quick Launch". This will move your Quick launch icons to the new toolbar.

4. Right click the new toolbar once again and go to the "toolbars" option but this time de-select "New Folder". This step gets rid of the "New Folder" text on the toolbar.

5. From this point you can set whatever options you want (icon size, always on top, auto hide, etc) and resize the toolbar as you see fit.

6. There is still a quick launch toolbar located on the taskbar. All you do to remove it is right click the taskbar go to "toolbars" and de-select "Quick Launch" and it's gone!

7. Finally, delete the new folder that you created on your desktop and start enjoying your relocated Quick Launch toolbar!!
