My friend just gave me 2GB Corsair XMS2 ( Exact same type I have in my rig already )
__________________I put it in, went to dxdiag and it only sees 2.5GB. How do make it so it uses all 4GB? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

You need a 64bit OS (if you do get one, don't get XP 64, the general consensus is that it sucks), or some CMOSes have a remapping option.. or something. I'm not sure if it works well or even works with anything, and it's said that it results in worse performance.

4GB should be enough to have a smooth experience with Windows Vista 64, and from what I've seen on other various forums is that lots of people are happy with Windows Vista 64.
