I have an IDE hd in my computer as well as a sata drive. I been having a probleming installing WinXP. When I install it, on either HD. i get the blue screen saying "Bio no ACPI complaint...disable it"...So I go into bios and disable ACPI in power management.
Install Windows on my IDE hd and WinXP starts.....So i got the fix. So then i installed WinXP on my SATA HD with ACPI disabled, and i still get the blue screen saying disable ACPI....im going to pull my hair out. what is going on?

Check the jumpers on your hd. Make sure it's set to primary, or cable select... or just take it out all together (taking it out sets it to cable select automatically).
