Default To vista or not to vista?

Well, its exactly what the title says.

Since I last installed my current copy of XP (about a year ago), I have changed the video card multiple times, the amount of RAM, the mobo, the CPU, and optical drive. I have decided to reinstall windows

I have a copy of Vista Ultimate sitting on the shelf, which I previously tried and came to the conclusion it was junk, so its just sitting there. Since then (an odd 7 months ago), looks like a lot has changed.

1. The drivers mean its around the same performance as XP (take note of the word around)
2. New games for Vista only which look good
3. I have DX10 cards
4. Everythings going to go vista some day.
5. SP1 still to come

Now for the reasons why I am reluctant to let Vista go once and for all. Is it still the childish annoyance it once was 8 months ago? Does it have the same amounts of problems? Hows the driver support?

And finally. Overclocking. Is there still issues with it? I understand that all the kinks have been worked out slowly, but is there anything makor still wrong with it?

Yes or no? Ive got today to decide

P.s. Im tired of dual booting. I need a definitive answer.

If 64 bit is really worth it, I am willing to sell off my 32bit, and get a 64bit version.

I have used Vista since nearly day 1 of final release. I love it. Yes it had a few issues at first but now IMO its just as good as XP if not better. Driver support is excellent for everything I own and stability is great as Microsoft really have been on the ball and have released the updates for fixes and improved performance very quickly....Its a great OS especially 64bit !

Hmmm thay may be an issue...however to be very honest the Inbuilt Vista driver support is wonderful...it owns XP in that aspect...Vista already has alot of drivers mate.

Have they got no name at all anywhere on them ?

i had windows vista x64 installed.. but I went back to XP.. I really love the interface in vista its really nice. vista x64 requires quite a lot of ram.. I think at 4gb it would run smoothly. It was using about 900mb on idle.
