Thanks but not really what I am looking for.. What I need to do now is:
My default (the windows boot loader) is on drive D, it should be on drive C with my boot manager.. Then I want to create a backup onto my drive D which will be easy thanks for that but anyway how do I get my windows main boot over to C:\ Repair the winloader.exe Thanks +rep

Anything for Tara Reid
![]() Why don't you get a copy 'windows boot loader' files from any other Vista PC & copy them to your HD Root.

I have no other vista PCs..
I am going to try to check via system restore and if nothing is fixed I have most of everything backed up onto my 500GB drive so I am going to unplug it. Plug in my 250GB reformat it with... bah vista.. I wanted XP but I am too used to vista.. Then I will plug in my 500GB Drive... delete any windows related files from it and it should work strictly as a backup.. Then I will start updating, reinstalling apps.. Arg this sucks monkey tinkes. Okay vista turned on with my dvd in the drive but then BSOD'd.. This isn't my ram.. Ram is memtest stable for like 2-3 hours.. I have decided to do a proper reinstall if safemode ever launchs so I can backup my stuffs

Set your BIOS settings to the defaults (stock speed) & try installing Vista again.

Unplugged it. Now trying all the options I was too scared to before,.. If this fails I will reinstall vista (hopefully without calling MSFT) and then start fresh and clean.. Later after windows is installed plug in my 500GB HDD see what happens.. :| Hopefully nothing bad and I am able to just load windows.. (I should have deleted the boot.bak file.. crapo!!
