Default Help! please respond a.s.a.p.

I am using the system in my sig. And i want to install a 64-bit os on it, but my processor doesn't seem to be supported when I tried to install it. Are there drivers for this? BTW I'm using a AM2 Sempron 3200+. AMD says it's 64-bit, so I'm kinda confused.
Many thanks in advance.

Some Semprons are 64 bit and others are 32 bit, so I guess you have a 32 bit version of a Sempron. There is no driver or fix that can change this, sorry.

EDIT: Try to to a fresh install if your not doing that already and see if that fixes your problem, because you might have a 64 bit processor.

okay I'll see what happens with a fresh install but I'm 100% sure it's a 64-bit Sempron it's on the box =P

Pretty sure all sempron socket 754, 939 and am2 are all 64bit, since all they are essentially is crippled athlon 64 cpus.

I suggest a full fresh install and a clean HDD. Report back with your findings!

Does x64 Windows perform better than the regular 32bit for an X2?
