UPDATE

I have noticed Vista has been booting much slower than usual. It is not so much getting to the desktop, just when I get to the desktop it takes AT LEAST 2 or 3 minutes to click anything, or else it freezes up. I have run Anti-Virus, Spyware, Rootkit scans, nothing. I've also defragged my hard drive. I've done msconfig also, it is the same as it was when Vista was booting faster. Why is it so slow?

turn off system restore if you haven't, i swear it's bugged and nobody believes me :P

personally I'd do a "repair" install with the DVD, you have nothing to lose at this point.

Already defragged with that previously, I will again though.

I like system restore.

have you tried diagnostic start up in msconfig? if it boots quick with that on it is obvious there ie too many services running at start up slowing down your pc

some thing like antivirus programs run as soon as you turn it on and runs a scan in which will slow down the computer performance while other apps are trying to load
