Default Going back to XP

I liked Vista a lot at first, but now it's showing its flaws more. I'm running Vista Ultimate 32 and I've had a lot of blue screens lately, program crashes, etc. Vista is fast, but I don't think faster than XP. I've never ran XP on this computer, so I just got myself a copy of XP Pro.

The main reasons I'm going back are:

It won't go faster than 5MB/s when working with the hard drive. Copying folders, files, burning, copying to flash drives, copying across the network.. It's all incredibly slow. I used this HDD with my old Dell, and it transfered full speed.

programs - I use some old programs that just won't work with vista.

Gaming - I can't run Crysis maxed out anyways, so why should I care for DX10? I mostly play CSS anyways. Plus Crysis takes up 100% of my ram in vista and access the HDD every minute. Same in CoD4, uses up all my ram and has to access the HDD.

And it also boots slowly. I almost never turn my computer off, but it's still annoying. And I hate how everything is dumbed down for noobs, even with UAC off.

So.. I'll be installing XP Pro in a few hours unless someone convinces me otherwise, or has possible solutions to my vista problems.

Wow, I had to make up my own imaginary full-stops and commas in that sentence. Please use correct punctuality

As for sticking with XP... I would. I use the WindowBlinds Vista skin... so it kinda looks like Vista etc but without all the crap that comes with it

But see, I've been using vista for 3-4 months. And it's been showing its uglyness only the past month.

You guys should try vista 64 i hated 32bit just like yal and ran xp, but i tried 64bit its smoother and no slow downs with 4gigs of memory it owns. Have had it installed for a month maybe 2 not 1 bsod other then a unstable overclock finding the right vcore. You do need all 64bit drivers for vista 64 tho so if you got older stuff probly wont work for you.
