If your like me and keep everything on a server in your home then yes, format and reload. :P
yes i am well aware of this. alot of people dont have spare partition to migrate stuff too. i knew you were gonna say something along those lines back to me.

trend micro has a good free online av/spyware scaner aswell(housecall). detects some gray ware aswell.

I had a nasty virus the other day and had to use smitfraud and super antispyware to get rid of the virus. It had embedded itself in the ram of all places. So maybe a re-install will not be the solution if you have a certain virus. There is the possibility it will manifest itself onto your fresh install of windows via the ram.

Glad they worked for you, super-antispyware is definately a GREAT program, I have a licensed professional edition and I keep it on my flash drive incase anyone I know or family or something gets something nasty.

I have alot of the programs installed on my flash drive and updated so I can use them without having to them install them to .

Portable Apps

Here is a great list of apps to carry around in your flash drive, great for spyware, adware, virus situations, among many other things.

Well, I personally use hijack this but honestly I didn't post here for the simple reason I didnt want anyone to angry at me if they removed their favorite toolbar(stumble, custom popular stuff) or if they removed their wireless utility etc.

Hijack is good, but it is not needed.
