You should update your tutorial because SD Fix will not work on Vista. As for all the rest of your apps, good info man.

I'm still trying to clean up my computer at work and for some reason spy bot S&D keeps freezing on me. It takes about 45 minutes to scan (507k files!) and then when i click fix problems it just freezes. I tried to reboot many times, reinstall, and even end the scan early in order to clean fewer files at a time (even unchecking half at the end) and no matter what it keeps freezing.

Usually i would say its just a stupid program but it found 200 problems, while malwarebytes has found only 16 so far.

Any suggestions?

I need help i just ran this process on my work computer for a second time, and this time i was able to go through the entire procedure without the computer freezing or ending the programs prematurely.

My problem is that now Paint.net won't work, Microsoft Office is asking me to reinstall some files and my Recycle bin won't work.

I know adware and spyware might cause problems when trying to run a program that they are linked to but MO, and Paint.net?

I tried reinstalling Paint.net and it still won't work and we don't have MO cd here to reinstall that. Also whats up with the recycle bin, it won't let me access it or drag and drop files there.

Also acrobat keeps telling me to register, eventhough i say i don't want to ever, it always pops up and google keeps trying to make its self my main search provider.

I really need help, thanks in advance.

I tried using system restore to restore to a couple of different points, as this process was executed on Thursday the 16th. I went back as far as a month and there isn't any difference in functionality or appearance of the desktop.

This process kinda did the same thing to my sig rig, now my clock is always on military time and i can't fix it to show the 24hr standard.

Any help?

If you can get spyware doctor its very good at removing a lot of stuff. Unfurtunatly, sometimes nothing but reinstall of reverting to a backup of some kind is the only true fit.
