Hi.
I'll brief in whats happened. I partitiond my hdd originaly to instal ubuntu on my second partition, anyway ubuntu didnt work so i decided to delete the partition. Everything was fine then. When i went to resize my hdd to its original size and error occoured and now my hdd in windows computer managment says it's the original 33gig but (this is the tricky bit) it only says that it's max capacity is 20gig and only 8gig is free. I really need help in fixing this problem. It would be very appriceated.

First off what is the total size of your hard-drive? What operating system are you using? From your post it seems that it took the 33gig partition swapped windows only onto that and is showing the free space left on that drive. If you are in Vista did you try to expand the partition after deleting the Ubuntu disk volumes? You could always try a program like partition to try to repartition your hard-drive. If you can't get anything to work I for see a reinstall in your future.

it sounds like when you partitioned it.. it lost space to make the header for the partition... i think.. not a HD expert... I'd start by getting a bigger HD if yah can lol. how you live 40GB is beyond me.
I'd try formatting any unpartition space with your computer managment.... or pop in XP CD and create another partition... i don't think you can combine the partitions into one.. or maybe you can that i don't know.... i'm not a partition fan. GL

40gig is good for me all i use it for is my homework and etc. But um i hav tried to re-partition but its only going to let me partition the 8gig thats free. I really dont feel like re-formating or re-installing windows.
