Default Problem with OEM Vista 32-bit with On-Board audio C-media CMI9880

After some forum/google searching I found the right driver that will work with my Asus P5GD2-X MB and its built-in audio ac97 C-Media CMI9880 sound, once I installed it and restarted the smart jack system in the software picked up my speakers and it worked fine now when I finished installing Set Point for my Logitech mouse/keyboard and restarted again, my audio was not working anymore after the 2nd restart, I can see the volume level moving with the music I am playing but cannot hear it in my speakers and I checked all of the setting and nothing is at mute all is at 100%, what else can I do to try to fix this or even start trouble shooting the problem?

check the control panel sound options, and make sure the onboard audio is selected.

Safe to assume you tried unplugging and plugging back in, disabling the device in device manager and then re enabling it?

Yes I have done all of the above what ended up working for me was uninstalling Set Point for my logitech products so I guess for now no graphics for my volume if i'd like to have any sound in my system.
