Default 4GB of RAM on 32-bit vista workaround

The Workaround

I found this on the interwebs, and I was wondering, how well does this work? I figure there are people here who know windows pretty well who might be able to explain this, and any "catch" that might exist with the workaround.

I wonder if it actually works. Technically speaking 32bit OS can handle 4gb but windows 32 has never been able to.

Issues are performance hit since OS has to use a look aside table and system corruption if drivers writing to the wrong memory area. Here's the MS article on issues: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system...ae_os.mspx#EID
