I'm not really sure whats wrong with xp I have vista and xp and I dual boot. Recently however I can no longer rearm vista (was just using the trial version), I have gone back to xp and after awhile I am unable to open anything up without closing something else out. It eventually gets so bad I have to restart because not even taskmanager will come up. All I could think of is that it is somehow thinking it is out of memory or something. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have a memory leak... but i've never heard of one like that. Are you running any programs that are new to your computer?

No none that I can think of I have nothing running actually sometimes antivirus (AVG) thats about it but even with that not running I still have problems. I had no problems of this sort in vista.

Hmmm. I'm not sure if this would work, but it may be a program thats on at startup. Have you tried going to MSCONFIG and disabling all startup programs?

Well... im pretty sure you have momory leak... Microsoft has this program called umdh.exe that is used to find them ( here is the link to the M$ page on it http://support.microsoft.com/kb/268343 ) I would try that and see if it is able to identify it. although its possible that isn't the problem... but in that case I have no idea. Good luck
