If someone can get the system file out of the folder above and post it up, that would be very helpful. My computer was working fine right after my volt mod on my 8800GT, but then after shutting it down a few times it all of a sudden comes up with this message saying that the file windows/system32/config/system is corrupt. So if anyone could somehow get that file, that would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and i'm guessing it won't take just any system file, I think it needs the sp3 system file, so if you have SP3, then you could help me.

what about safe mode?

I don't think you can just copy someone else's system config file, since it will contain hardware-specific information. You might need to reinstall windows

Sometimes if I wait it out it goes away, I don't know how, but it does, so that's what i'm going to do. Or I could go and download sp3 onto the other hard drive that I have in there, and then install sp3 to the messed up installation, that might work.

You should have one in the \windows\repair\ folder. Just copy it in and it should work.
