Default nothing but problems with whs

so i built a mostly new machine a week or so ago and installed windows home server on it and i've had nothing but problems with it, i don't know if it is software or hardware related though. i'm reinstalling for the 3rd time tonight because the install keeps becoming corrupt and won't boot. i'm wondering if one of the hdds is bad, but i haven't run any diagnostics on them yet and when the whs is up, it shows them all as healthy.

anyone else had negative results with whs? right now i just have the 120 trial and if things keep going like this i will just install xp pro and set that up as a server instead. but i really like the way the whs works (when it does work) and wouldn't mind spending the money if i know it will work right.
