Default installing RAID Drivers in XP without a Floppy

Hey guys,

I'm trying to build a new system for a buisness and so I decided to go with RAID 1 for backup purposes. Problem is that the board I bought doesn't have an FDD connector so I can't really hook up a floppy to install the RAID drivers for XP. I was wondering if there was any way around this. Could I put it on USB stick or CD or something? Or could I slipstream them into the XP install disk? I'm open to just about anything. Thanks in advance!

You can slipstream them on to the XP disc easily, use nLite or something similar. I think with many modern BIOSes you can set them to use a USB flash drive as a floppy drive, too, but I suggest nLite anyway. Not only is it faster, you can eliminate all the hassle involved with non-automated installs.

Okay sweet I might do that then. Where would I get these files from? Off the intel website and how would they go into nLite?

assuming the board uses the intel matrix storage manager, you can get them below (i've attached them).

I would recommend using RyanVM Integrator to slipstream them. I've never had much luck with nLite. Extract an XP disc to your hdd, and tell RVM where it is. Then you goto the driver integration page and tell it which files to integrate (the Intel Matrix drivers) then make the .iso and burn it.
