Hello fellow members.
__________________Recently i have installed Vista Ultimate 32x on my sig rig in dual boot with XP Pro. All went nice and smoothly and at first i was pleseantly surprised on how fast everything ran but the fun only lasted 5 minutes. BSOD and Vista rebooted. Well this was sorta expected so i downloaded the latest Catalyst driver for Vista but no improvement. Changed to another Cat version but the problem still exist till today. So far i have used the following drivers: 7.12 / 7.11 / 7.10 / 7.8 / 7.5 / 7.4 and a modded driverpackage. Inbetween installs i followed the normal procedures of uninstalling, use driver cleaner pro in safe mode etc. I have set both monitors to 100 Mhz and 1024x768 Now my ATI card works perfectly in XP so i doubt it's my card, i have also performed a memtest and that came out ok to. Any suggestions on how to fix this? frankly i have no clue what else to do about it to make the restarts and screen refreshes stop

I've not much experience with catalysts and vista, but there is a mention of a similar problem and potential fix HERE.
Apparently ati 'fixed' the problem but id give it a try anyway. Good luck!

Another day, another attempt to re-install Vista, not working so i am giving up on it and save it for my next build.
__________________Though highly dissapointed i am pulling my hands off this, no way i am going to be able to get it up and running. System stays stable for about 5 seconds and then reboots under Vista, Under Xp all is working like it should so i'm done with it. Thnx for the help and advice both here in this thread as in Chat, cookies have been handed out.
