ok so i know that there is a patch needed for this and i already have it installed, and i still get BSODs all the time with 4gb, but ive also heard that this patch needs to be installed before you install anyother updates. so is there anything i can do? im on an OEM version of vista so i cannt just reinstall it, but would it be possible to uninstall all of the vista updates and then install the one update i need first then let it reinstall all the other ones? or is there anything else i can do?
rep+ 4 help!! thanks!

Dunno if you need to install the 4gb patch first but you could always uninstall the other patches using CP.

Hmmm with that massive overclock, and the 4 sticks of ram in, it may be putting a large stress on the memory controller and thus could cause BSOD's. Have you tried running at stock since you bought the new ram?
And it could be possible the RAM is faulty, memtest maybe?

I always installed Vista x64 with my 4GB of RAM installed and never had a problem. I installed all (most) the updates in Windows updates and never had a single BSOD.
