Hey everyone, I just found a bug with Windows Vista x64, I'm not sure if it affects only wireless users but when I try to run a speedtest from speedtest.net or other website that allows you to evaluate your download and upload speed, the PC locks up, does that happen to you guys? I can browse the net, download what I want and it never freeze, it's just those kind of websites that locks up my machine, I can also ping those websites and get a ping back without freezing (that's normal).

I am not wireless so that may be why it did not freeze for me... It did however show horribly inaccurate download but that could be a spur of the moment thing.

It shows completly innacurate download for me too, until it freezes. I usually get around 5000 (I tested it on Vista x86) and now I get around 900 lol and it climbs a little, but that isn't true because my pings remain the same, my signal strength as well and I game online just as good as usual.

Mine works ok for speedtest.net, I don't think my wireless adapter is even vista certified. But it goes. Sucks, hope you figure it out.

Just ran a test on speedtest.net with my vista x64 laptop, all seems fine.
Just a note, did you run it with 64bit or 32bit explorer?
mine runs fine on both, but dont know about yours.

Regular Internet explorer, I just noticed there was a 64-bit one. Which one do you guys usually use?

EDIT: OK I've pin pointed the cause of the problem. For some reason, Vista x64 doesn't like me to have heavy uploading and perhaps downloading as well. I tried to upload a pretty large file to an online file hoster and the PC locked up right away. Downloading isn't really a problem because I rarely ever get near 1mbps and speedtest.net crashes when the download is around 3mbps. So now I know what's the problem, I need to find the origin, I doubt that it's my wireless card that is causing this because the chipset used is natively 64-bit compatible.
