So everytime i reboot, it resets my monitor power settings. I like to always have it on and turn it off manually. My main reason is because when it automatically turns off for me, it takes about 5 minutes of wiggling my mouse to wake it up. So with that said, i have a custom power setting with "Monitor Standby - NEVER" Yet ill reboot my machine and boom, back to "Monitor Standby - 20 Mins". Over and over i have to fix it. It simply wont stick. Im running Vista X64. anyone else have this issue? Can it be related to a BIOS option for some odd reason?

I dont know if you are creating a power plan from start or just changing some of the settings with the performance power plan.

I haven't had that problem with my 64 bit vista but for me the whole turn off a hard drive to save power thing doesnt work, i have it set to never turn off but it does all the time, i tried just changing the setting and then tried a new power plan and everything else in the plan takes, it just wont leave the second hard drive on.
here is my soution so far it is more fo a work around actualy I put my itunes folder on that drive and just press play. lol not a fix but it works, i usualy have music playing anyway

I was trying to be funny by calling it Mr Vista....but in reality im masking my anger towards it. Anyway, i do set it to "NEVER" but after a reboot, it goes back to "20 Minutes". Im sick of changing it, its been like this for about 8 months now. I think it started AFTER i did the SP1 RC1 update. Maybe just a minor bug, but man its killing me. I wish a "Mr.Vista" really existed and he came over my house....i would punch him in the balls.
