Default bsod of disk?

i recently been getting bsod's of the disk.sys
0x00000050
i cant do a full disk check, and i have the system at stock.
Any ideas?

Have you tried starting a disk check while in safe mode?

no, but i did finally get it to run from this cd i have that has a bunch of utilities

i disabled page file, when it first started, so still had bsod. after that check, i have yet to have issueds, im about to turn pagefile back on
