Default Hard Drive in "Safely Remove Hardware"

My hard drive is always displayed in the system tray under the "Safely Remove Hardware" tool-icon thingy. How do I keep it from showing up there? I like to keep my systray as clean as possible.

is it a SATA drive? cause it will sometimes show up there, cause with sata, you are able to connect and disconnect while in windows... except for the drive you are booting from of course.

It's simply because it's a SATA drive and they support hot-swap or whatever it is called.

SATA drives show up in the remove hardware list in ACHI mode, so that is normal. Just don't click 'stop', and you will be fine

Thanks for the responses, but there's no way to hide it? It's kind of annoying. xD

Just right click anywhere on your taskbar, and select properties, and click the customize buttons next to Hide Inactive Icons, in that screen just set the add or remve hardware to always hide, then the only way to view it is by expanding your inactive icons by clicking arrow next to the clock. There are some tools I like to have running but it annoys me if there a ton of icons visible next to my clock so I just hide them.

Hope that helps.
