It seems like this might be a Vista problem more than a soundcard problem because it only happens when coming out of hibernate mode.

Thread title: Sound doesn't work after hibernate.
So, which is it? No sound after hibernate: http://support.microsoft.com/search/...=1&spid=global No sound after standby: http://support.microsoft.com/search/...=1&spid=global

Your links only say to update the drivers, and I already have the latest.

Thanks for the help, even though I can't find anything in the Event Viewer that seems to involve my problem.

I'd look, on Microsoft's website, into just what standby actually does and how it relates to IRQ.

It's "sense." And nevermind, because I can't find the answer. It's not that big a deal anyway. Thanks.
