So I'm downloading the 10-day trial of WoW and the downloader is telling me to configure my router to forward some specific ports. I've never done it before but I figure "hey, can't be too hard". So I mosey on down to portforward.com for some instructions. Portforward.com says I have to setup a static IP on my computer. Okay, no problem again, can't be too hard. As I proceed I'm instructed to click Run and enter ipconfig /all in the dialog box. When I do so the command window opens very briefly; actually, just long enough to see a flash of the black command prompt screen, then it closes itself. What's going on? How can I fix it? HURRY I WANNA PLAY SOME WORLD OF WARCRAFT!!1!1!!ONE!111!

you need to run command prompt for that.
go to run then type in "cmd.exe" or programs>accessories>system tools>command prompt then in there run ipconfig /all ![]()

hunter or warrior for a nub. I play on illidan, if you have friends that play, I would play with them on whatever server they are on. Also PVP is very fun, so do a pvp server.

Thanks again. I'm worried that when I enter a PvP server, I'll be level 1, and I'll get my azz kicked by people 10 times stronger than I. How does that work? Guess I'll need a posse eh? And I don't have any friends... that play WoW lol.

If you do something in "run," it runs the command and closes it as soon as the process is finished. For ipconfig, the process is finished when the data is done being displayed (not when you're done looking at it
)If you want to have the output remain on the screen, open up a terminal/command line yourself and use the command.
