One, my windows boots relatively slow. Might take up to 5 minutes to boot my computer.
__________________Two, more often then not, if my computer goes into suspend mode. It will not start up when u hit a key, move/click the mouse, or press the power button. I have to hold the start up button for 10 to kill it and then start it up again. any ideas on how to fix this?

i'd try using ccleaner to remove unwanted startup programs, and do a registry fix too.
http://kppfree.altervista.org/CCleaner.html i would use Auslogic to defragment your hard drive http://kppfree.altervista.org/Auslog...sk_Defrag.html i would probably reinstall windows if it were going that slow.

Goto your power options and turn off suspend option. Also check to see what you're starting up when you're running. Either through regedit or msconfig.
EDIT: If you surf the web a lot I'd also run a program like spybot search and destroy.

are you using any anti virus software? i'd run a full system scan. i'd also delete your system restore points by turning off your system restore, restarting your computer, and turning system restore back on. Right click My Computer >> system properties >> system restore tab. a lot of the time trojans and a lot of malware like to hide in there.

i agree with a few above... cc cleaner, and disk defragment, also along with advanced windows care personal, and turn off the hibernate function it should stop all that.
you could also add the tune xp program to your list

Well, i believe the problem began when I found that "hack vista" thread. I tried to speed up my boot by removing start up programs but I'm not sure that it actually helped as it did hurt the process.

the normal boot definitely was a lot faster. So obviously i tweaked something needed when i did selective boot.
