Default Floppy Drive Controllers? I don't have a floppy.

I noticed that when I go into device manager there is a 'Floppy Drive Controllers' section and when I click the + it says "Standard floppy disk controller".
I don't have a floppy drive, nor is it enabled in my BIOS.
The floppy drive setting is set to none in bios.

How can I get rid of it?
I tried uninstalling it from device manager but it just comes back on reboot.

Just because you don't have a floppy connected to your motherboard does it mean that the controller is disabled. The controller is still physically there, and so Windows will still find it.

It's not going to hurt anything, so I wouldn't worry about it.

If it's not hurting anything then that's fine. I was just curious about it because before I went from Vista 32 to 64, it wasn't shown.

Sorry guys, I figured it out.
I snooped around in my BIOS and found a setting in Peripherals called FDC Enable/Disable.
That did it.
