Default Windows XP runing smooth but mouse Freezes?
im working on a computer and everything seems to be running fine. then when you least expect it the mouse freezes up, funny thing is everything else runs fine in the back ground (i know this because the keyboard shortcuts for everything works)

any idea on how i could go about fixing this

Tried another USB port for your mouse?

Maybe a virus that is eating mouse's food?

Try swapping mouses so you have something to work with, then if that works unistal the drivers for the freezing mouse and re-install them.

what driver could you uninstall (o btw this isnt my computer) it is using a dell oem mouse

Go to Control Panel (classic view) then Mouse then Hardware then find the problem mouse on the list the right click go to properties then go to Driver then Uninstall, Then plug back in the problem mouse and it should re-install the drivers again and hopefully it will make it work rite.
