when i try to install my epson stylus photo rx500 it says that a fatal error has occured because it has to terminate microsoft office visuall c++ runtime library in a unusual way. i already removed it using add/remove programs and nothing happened and the help that microsoft gives, i cant find what they are looking for.

Try going into the task manager to find anything related to the visual c++ thing, delete those tasks, then install.

i reinstalled xp and it worked, but now every time i plug my printer in it says device not recognized

with printers, sometimes you need to plug in the printer before you install the drivers, and others require you to not plug in the printer until after you install the drivers...

Look on the website, and read up on what steps are required for it to work correctly...
