Networking Nut
|
Hey,
__________________So I'm building a PC and I got to a point where I'm almost finished updating Windows and have all the programs I usually install, on a new Windows 2000 Pro OS. Now for some reason, my network connection is VERY slow, so slow after 5 mins of waiting, I still am waiting for the graphics and pages to show up. I do see somethings happening in the status bar at the bottom of the browser, but the sliding bar that tells you the webpage is coming in, is moving, but never gets to the right side to complete.... My other computer that's working fine has the usual good connection (winXP pro). Both machines are connected via CAT6 to a D-link Gigabit switch. The switch is connected to a Buffalo router which is connected to my D-link DSL modem. Please help!
