Adjusting Priority of Background Processes
If you open up task manager in Vista (and maybe XP?) and click on processes, then right-click on one in the list, you can adjust its priority.
Does this adjust how its handled in terms of system resources? Like would more RAM be allocated to that particular process? You can also set its Affinity, or how many CPU's are dedicated to that particular process, which is also interesting.

It adjust the CPU usage.
