I have this laptop here that will not go on the net. Gives me the message in the title. I know what this means, but I can't find the program that is controlling it so that I can remove it. How do I go about doing this? I can go into services and start the Windows Zero Configuration service, and it works, although I can tell that it's buggy. Basically, how do I find out what program is running the wireless and turn it off? Or at least get windows to have full control....

Reinstall the drivers and make sure you have a good signal.

I shouldn't have to reinstall the drivers as I know it works when I turn on WZC......and the signal is excellent

Give me a SS of Windows Task manager under the processes tab.
You might also have some spyware/malware on your computer ![]()

*Goes to google*
To overcome it, try this: - Rt-click the WLAN icon and click View available wireless networks - Click on Change advanced settings - Click on Wireless networks tab - Click to tick the box for "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings" - OK everything - Reboot Windows Worth a shot...
