Default What Vista to get?

Ok, I'm trying to decide what vista 64bit OS to get. I can snag the Home Premium for 80 beans less than the ultimate. I mostly game and do some homework and web surfing. Is Ultimate worth the extra cash or not really? Kinda torn here.

Get Home Premium. Ultimate has language packs and hold em pockr, bleh. Unless you need a IIS (web server), which ultimate and business come with, get Preimum, which has media center and everything else except a IIS and umm hold em poker.

I don't know the differences but Ultimate has a few more options than premium.

"There can be only one" (quote - that movie with sean connery as one of the immortals lol... "Highlander", maybe?)

Ultimate IS Vista - anything else is just "Vista-missing-some-bits"

Oh yea, Ultimate has bit locker (drive encryption, but your mobo has to support it) and full hd image backups. I have on a machine and it's no big deal.

When I got Vista I'm getting the best one (64 bit Ultimate I believe).

Vista Home Premium would be my rec. As an ultimate user I can honestly say the extra cost is not worth it at all. Poker? Dreamscene? I've never used Bitlocker (personally I've never had the reason too) I dunno...tbh I really dont see the value in Ultimate. but again...all just IMO

Completely agree... I call anything but vista ultimate "cripples." Because they are.

But then again, ultimate is so expensive...

*rolls the dice, lands on Boardwalk, pays the money to billy G*

*sigh*
