Default Vista Updates Screwed Up
I just installed Vista Ultimate, and the windows update screen is all messed up, i've tryed rebooting multiple times, and its still the same.

restore the system to before updates installation and try again

I would just reinstall or repair the system. If its a clean install, you won't really loose anything other than time.
