I just ran the install for vista, which started fine installed but upon restart the main status bar displays then go to a lovley BSOD with a code of

Install with 2GB of ram. Install ALL updates or SP1 then reinstall the other 2GB of ram. Its a glitch in the original relese of Vista.

Had the same prob :-)

Does this happen all the time with 4GB of RAM for everyone no matter the mobo or the RAM or does it happen selectively just with some people?

98% of users get a BSOD with 4 gb of ram, there are a tiny amount of exceptions but in most cases yes this happens all the time.

I think this is what happened to me, although never had an issue before my GX2's.

I installed the OS everything was fine, downloaded all the Microsoft Updates and upon reboot BSOD, i restarted in Safe Mode again BSOD. I simply couldn't boot up again.

So if I install with 4GB in and then download the fix before rebooting will that work?
