Okay I just bought an Toshiba R200 laptop for web browsing.
They have no internal CD drive because they are so lightweight and slim. So how can I boot my XP disk to reformat the drive with my XP image. I don't want to buy an eternal CD drive just for this. I want to boot the laptop select > Boot from USB stick>have it load my xp image from the usb drive and install windows.

I took the hard drive out to see if i could connect up to it and do it that way.
Pretty small HDD and the connectors are too small for my converter. ![]()

Yeah, that looks like the typical 2" HD's found in laptops. They run the same interface as PCs, you just need an adapter.
__________________I do believe there is a way to copy the CD to a USB drive, make it bootable, and then do a quick modification to the CD files on the USB drive to make the windows installer come up and work. I've never done it myself, but I'm sure there's a guide out there on how.
