Default Load XP setup from USB Stick?

Okay I just bought an Toshiba R200 laptop for web browsing.

They have no internal CD drive because they are so lightweight and slim.

So how can I boot my XP disk to reformat the drive with my XP image.

I don't want to buy an eternal CD drive just for this.

I want to boot the laptop select > Boot from USB stick>have it load my xp image from the usb drive and install windows.

I took the hard drive out to see if i could connect up to it and do it that way.

Pretty small HDD and the connectors are too small for my converter.

Yeah, that looks like the typical 2" HD's found in laptops. They run the same interface as PCs, you just need an adapter.

I do believe there is a way to copy the CD to a USB drive, make it bootable, and then do a quick modification to the CD files on the USB drive to make the windows installer come up and work. I've never done it myself, but I'm sure there's a guide out there on how.
