Question Mute after Stand By?

I have Windows set to automatically go into Stand By and then turn off the HDD's, but when I come back, the sound is sometimes muted. This isn't a case of me forgetting that I muted it before going into Stand By as I rarely mute it. So, this is a case of it muting when I bring it out of Stand By mode.

Is there a fix for this? If so, then I need your guidance.

Thank you.

maybe some setting in your power settings or a hidden setting in your sound card menus, I have the exact SC as you and I haven't seen anything like that, but I haven't had that problem either.

You're also using Vista. Or did you mean when you used XP?
