Icons disappearing in Vista?

I'm just curious on why this happens sometimes on a fresh installation of windows.
I install the program... restart, and the icon is gone on the .exe, so any shortcuts to it have no icon. If I rename the .exe the icon is back... If I view the properties of the unnamed exe it still shows the icon.. so why doesn't it in the actual folders/start menu? See picture for more info...

another usual vista problem.
__________________do NOT change to vista until sp2 comes out for me.if i wont have any dx10 needed games

I had this problem with Foobar. Just restart.
