Default Can't Delete Some Files

Appear to be installed by Adobe Acrobat. In the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Resource\CMap

The have dates from 2000, 2002, and 2006. It won't let me change their security or delete them. Tried safe mode also...no cigar.

Names are Identity-H, Identity-V, UCS2-GBK-EUC, UniKS-UTF16-H, UniKS=UTF16-V

What are they? How do you lose them?

I hope you don't mind this question, but why do you want to delete them?

If you simply want to stop looking at them, then change the Attributes to Hidden.

Use the Terminal. It is pure power; it is the All Spark.

I am having a problem getting Adobe Master Collection to install. Adobe suggested their CS3 Cleaner on (undocumented) level 4. It left files...I deleted all but these.

They may be fonts.

It was simpler than than. The files were owned by system. Changed the owner to me, the gave myself permission, and deleted them. There wasn't a batch way to do it, but it did work.
