for some reason, all of a sudden, when i hit ctrl + alt + del, task manager pops up instead of the little menu

how do i get the menu back!? i want to be able to lock my computer and stuff lol

go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Change the way users log on or off > Make sure "Use the Welcome Screen" is unchecked and press "Apply Options"... but if all you want to do is lock the comp, just press Win key + L

go into user accounts, change the way user log on/off

disable the welcome screen (and fast user switching)

i have winxp pro and fast user switching is off but welcome screen is on - ill turn it off and see what happens
