Default How To: View Hidden Files in Windows Vista

How To: View Hidden Files In Windows Vista!

Introduction

I made this guide a while back and never bothered to post it on Overclock.net. But now I am. It's a fairly simple guide, explaining to users How To: Show Hidden Files on a drive. Please, do not start to flame this thread by saying stupid stuff such as, who doesn't know this already!!?!?!...
FYI, there are many people that browse the Forums and Google, looking for simples guides like this to help them.

Step One:

Find the Drive or folder you want to view hidden files on. For this, I used my "C: Drive". (Shown in Figure 1-5)

Step Two:

In the upper tool bar, go to, "Organize", Go into the drop down menu, and click on "Folder and Search Options". (Shown in Figure 2-5)

Step Three:

After Clicking on "
Folder and Search Options", You should come to a Window Titled, "Folder Options". By default, you should on the "General tab". (Shown in Figure 3-5)

Step Four:

See the tabs at the top of the "Folder Options" Window? Click one over to the "View" tab. When you click on the "View Tab", You should see a bunch of options. And
from here you want to scroll down, and look for "Hidden Files and Folders" (Shown in Figure 4-5)

Step Five:

After You have found "Hidden Files and Folders", Click on the circle, that has "Show Hidden Files and Folders", Then Click apply and OK. Now you can View all your Hidden Files! (Shown in Figure 5-5)

Hope you enjoyed my simple, yet effective guide!
