Default Vista 32 bit or 64 bit?

I will be building a new rig soon and it will have 4gb memory. I have a bunch of hardware (such as WLAN adapters) that will only run on 32 bit. There are not any x64 drivers for them. Should I just get the 32 bit version and live with about 3.25gb or should I take the plunge to x64 and have to buy some new hardware?

Which WiFi adapter? There generally are no specific 64-bit drivers for them but the default one should work.

Take the plunge and go for the 64 bit. I first had the 32 bit. Then when I had4 gigs I went for the 64 bit and for me it is better.

64bit is the way to go. You can use 4GB+ of RAM and Microsoft fixed all the driver and compatibility issues. So many people have 64bit that almost all modern products have 64bit drivers.

I would get 64bit and test the drivers. You might be able to get them to work. Check the sites of the hardware to see if there are any updates. Remember that 64bit will also utilize your quad more efficiently when working with calculations and other operations.

Go with Vista x64, it's way better IMO. And you're gonna have 4GB anyway.. when you see that Windows only recognizes 3.25GB of RAM you're gonna keep saying to yourself why didn't I go with x64?

I was just wondering if there was any way to get a 64 bit version if you only have a 32 bit disk. My college sells vista 32 disks for 10 dollars, but they said they won't sell any 64 bit versions (except for XP x64 for $5). I thought i heard something about microsoft sending you a 64 bit disk but im not sure...
