alg.exe is missing ???

alg.exe is a process belonging to Microsoft Windows Operating System. It is a core process for Microsoft Windows Internet Connection sharing and Internet connection firewall. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

That might have something to do with it... then again it might not, did you run your logfile through the hijackthis website analyser ???

Technically, you don't need ALG. It is just for third party support. I hav it disabled, and I can browse the internet fine, except for the ads.overclock.net taking longer to load.

I am not a Vista user, so some of these you may need, but to double check just to be sure. Google the process or service.

Get Rid of:
Communications_Helper.exe
LVComSx.exe (Unless you have a web cam, and are using it at that moment. You shouldn't need to install their software, just the drivers.)
Definitely fix all of your web home pages, unless you need to have them.
userinit.exe (depending on if you use it or not. Could be an easier way to start worms, keyloggers, etc imo.)
delete hosts problem then go to the hosts file and put "127.0.0.1 localhost"
Delete the URL Search hook for yahoo.
I hate BHO and toolbars so if you want delete the ones you don't need or want.

Not sure about all of the stuff you want to delete or what you need.
If it attached, then below is my log, nice and tidy.
