change user account on vista
One of my games wouldn't launch so I was instructed to create a new user account in Vista with admin rights. Now the game opens but many of my programs and settings are gone on the new user.
__________________I would like to set my old user account as admin, however it won't let me(change account type not highlighted in manage accounts). Does anyone know if I can change a user account from standard to admin?

Yes, you can. Login as the administrator, go to User accounts in the control panel, select your account, and change the status from normal to admin account.

Have you actually tried to run the game by right-clicking on the icon and select 'run as admin'?

When I tried that I just realized that both user accounts are admin. That would explain why I can't change it since its already admin. Noob
__________________I'm not sure why I had to create a new user account to open Battlefield2142 but I guess I will have to live with it.

Yes I tried that. I tried many suggestions from EA support and the only thing that worked was the new user account.

have you tried changing your admin acount to "Super-Uber-Admin"?
