Default Blue Screen help please.

Well Ive been getting a few blue screens lately, only when I boot my system up. The stop codes are different each and every time, but all point to the same thing. Sounds like a driver issue, please see attachment to see the event viewer log. Is it safe to just delete this .sys file, or do I have to find what product installed it and remove that. Its signed by adaptec, but I don't have any of there software on my computer. Thanks in advance guys.

A few things.

1. You are overclock at the moment correct? You watercooler CPU may be fine, but NB could be running hot. Not sure if that is watercooled as well.

2. Your Video Card. You could have a corrupt driver or maybe a heat issue

3. You could have corrupt file in your start-up.

4. A newly installed program could be messing with the system as well.

Just some thoughts for you. It may be none of these.

Thanks G.O but after the bluescreens, I get the same error message under event viewer that is in my screenshot, relating to aspi32.sys. By searching through the net xp 64 dont play nicely with aspi32.sys. So my question was can I just delete this aspi32.sys file, or do I need to find the software that installed it?

Edit: Its not a overheating nb, as it does it on system startup, after a restart it disappears and I am not plagued by another bluescreen, till I cold boot the comp. It is driver related, and the event viewer is pointing to that driver.

Thanks G.O but the driver was last modified 9/17/2007 and only been having problems since 6/4/2008. Only thing I recall installing recently is dvd idle pro. Perhaps I will uninstall this and see if the problem goes away. Thanks for the help bud.

Thanks again G.O, but the dvd drive works flawlessly so I am not sure. I have removed dvd idle pro and will see if that resolves the issue. If not then its time to try reinstalling gfx drivers and such. At a last resort guess Ill have to reinstall the os. My oc passed a 8hour orthos priority 9 blend test, maybe I should run it longer, again last resort before os reinstall.

hopefully you won't have to reinstall the OS, but it never hurts from time to time.
