Default Windows on D: Drive

I guess I accidentally made my Media partition first. so the windows install is on Drive D:

I tried changing the drive letter in computer management, but it says It is not allowed. This is driving me nuts. What can I do?

Agreed, I dont think there is any way to change the drive letter of an active partition. Only a format and reinstall will fix it. I usually see this happen when people Install with a card reader connected.

You can use Norton Partition Magic to change the drive letter or Acronis Disk Director. I'm pretty sure that the G-Parted live cd has the feature to change drive letters too, and its free. http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...kage_id=271779

Even if he got the letter changed, wouldn't the fact that it was D when the install happened screw things up?

I don't think that it would, but if he just installed Windows could just reinstall it because it doesn't take that long but if he's already got everything set up then I would try changing the drive letter(after backing up important files).
