Default Vista Sidebar using 15-25% CPU time?
Is it normal for the sidebar to be using so much CPU time? It's always at 15-25% for some reason.. It's taking away from my crunching.

I don't use it since it eats resources...especially it uses the CPU a lot.

yeah... my dad uses it on his computer and it really eats up the cpu usage. when i first got my computer, i disabled it and havent seen it since.

That is unusual.
Disable gadgets one at a time and find out which one is the hog.

Well before I reformatted it only took 1-4% and I'm fine with that. Now it's just way too much.

Hm.. If I close it and reopen it CPU usage goes down to the normal 1-4%

True, while in idle my computer is using 2-8 % maybe and I have over 10 gadgets running.

Mine usually consumes 1-2% CPU usage. Every so often it goes up to 5%, but not more than that.

Yeah same here, it only uses like 1-2 percent. I have the Evereset one, a WLAN one, CPU and RAM usage.
