Question Vista prices?

How much would it cost to buy a Windows Vista 64-bit?
Also, where would you buy it?
What's the difference between Windows Ultimate, Windows Home, Windows Premium, and Windows Business?

For my school there is a page on their website that shows all the software they have available for students to buy at a discount. They have Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Upgrade listed for $89.00. I'm thinking about buying it, but the description is kinda vague and I can't figure out if it only works if you upgrade FROM XP or stand alone.

Anyone got any input?

Newegg is prolly your best bet. keep in mind that OEM means you'll only be able to install on one comp, retail means you have the option of installing on a second computer (like if your motherboard breaks on you) and you'll be able to use microsoft for support.

As for the question of which you should get, if you want a good answer you should post what you do/are planning on doing with the operating system.

Or for a basic discription of what they include:

I would get Premium. Ultimate is just too expensive. If you get Vista, get 64-bit.

What's the difference AMONG, not "between," the four. Between is for 2 things, among is for 3 or more.

This information has been out for a long time, now...

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...ns/choose.mspx

Personally, I wouldn't get anything but the full version, but I also wouldn't pay that kind of money... Try to find some m$ programs that'll get it to you free or discounted.
